Dr Tan Wee Kiat is an educator and enjoys studying nature, swimming, collecting stamps and playing the harmonica. The carnivorous pitcher plants (Nepenthes) of Singapore and Malaysia have fascinated him for several years. This has led him to publish Jack & the Carnivorous Picher Plant, a book he hopes bring Nepenthes to all its readers, old and young.
